Learn moreBiobio cheeses are certified organic by the certification body Québec Vrai (OCQV) or by a foreign certifier for our imported cheeses. The pastures, forage and grain used to feed them contain no GMOs or synthetic products such as pesticides or fertilizers. The certified organic milk used to make the cheeses is drawn from cows raised on family farms in Quebec, where animal welfare is valued. Our cheeses contain no chemical dyes, artificial flavours or additives resulting from synthesis. They are also made using plant-based microbial enzymes, not animal rennet (except for the parmesan and Parmigiano Reggiano).
There are many advantages to choosing organic cheese: it is tastier than traditionally-made cheese, contains more nutrients, and is good for the environment.
Whether they are the highlight of a dish or used as a final touch, Biobio’s organic cheeses bring flavour to any type of meal. Healthy, nutritious and delicious, they can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch and dinner, for snacks, and even for dessert. Explore our rich selection of products with these easy-to-make recipes!
Our imported organic cheeses have been carefully selected for their outstanding taste and quality. Made following traditional methods, they meet the same high quality and environmental standards than our local cheeses while expressing great delicacy.
Our lactose-free aged cheddars are among our most popular products. Made from organic thermised milk, these rindless and firm cheeses feature a buttery and nutty taste that’s a little more full-bodied than our other cheeses...
